Leah Faye's Boutique was opened under our parent company Kids Kats & K9s in a brick & mortar building in the quaint, quiet, and friendly town of Fairbury, IL at 125 West Locust. This location previously housed the local newspaper, The Fairbury Blade, and was once a hatchery. Kathy grew up locally and the building had a unique history and Kathy fell in love with it. Fairbury, Illinois is the home of the Prairie Dirt Classics, (for any racing fans out there) and Dave's Supermarket (best fried chicken and bakery around!) People from all over the United States visit and attend the races.  This small town in central Illinois seemed like a great place for another family friendly business and the perfect location for Kathy to begin her adventure.  She had owned and operated flower shops and a tanning salon in the past and was a Master Florist for FTD, but she was ready for a change.

It was the dream of Kathy, the owner, to open Kids Kats & K9s, a children's store that would carry children clothing, toys, accessories, and Mommy & Me items, as well as pet clothing, soaps, and accessories for dog and cat Moms & Dads. She wanted a store that her children and grandchildren would love, and could someday turn into a family business. How we got the name: Kids stood for children, Kats was for Kathy and cats, and the K9s was for dogs. As Kids Kats & K9s grew, we realized that we were more than a children and pet clothing store, and a  new name was decided on. The boutique was named after one of her granddaughters. The granddaughter was never happy about the name.  She didn't like attention being drawn to her, but did agree to model and help out any way she could. As the boutique became known to the community, she began  offering a unique selection of items (focusing on families) and services including a tanning salon at the request of her customers. Leah Faye's Boutique and Tanning Salon evolved and  carried children's and adult clothing, as well as candles, home decor, soaps, tanning lotions, jewelry, and so many more unique items. We even carried hard to find used books from her mother's collection, as well as new children's books.

Unfortunately, after a few years,  the building was put up for sale so that Kathy could help take care of her aging parents, and take care of her own health issues.  Her mother passed away from breast cancer, shortly after closing. She continues to care for her 95 year old father with help from her children and grandchildren. The building became Crimson Fox Boutique & Tanning  and is currently an Airbnb and is owned and operated by her daughter's friend, JoAnna.

Even after closing the boutique and tanning salon, customers continued to call her phone and inquire about the business.  This has inspired her to open an online store, do vendor events, and set up as a vendor in "Market on Main" in Paxton IL. She is hoping in the future to find another brick and mortar building to relocate into.

We are so happy to re-open Leah Faye's Boutique online store.  We will be focusing mostly on children's clothing and accessories in the beginning.  We hope you enjoy our products as much as we do!
